Made on Dartmoor this hard cheese is based on a Gruyère-style recipe. An excellent pasteurised cheese with a hard rustic outer rind, made using milk from the farms own Friesian herd. Matured for 6 months Haytor has a mature, slightly sweet and nutty flavour coupled an attractive broken texture. Haytor has great melting qualities when heated during cooking, delicious melted on toast and excellent on a burger!
